DDGS Output Reaches 63-Week High

 

Margins and Fuel Supply Shrink, DDGS Supply Could Pull Back 

Weekly ethanol production and stock levels exceeded analyst expectations.  Ethanol output increased 23 thousand barrels to a 1.034 million-barrel-per-day average during the week ending May 28, 2021.  The increase in production moved beyond analysts’ forecast that were looking for output to land within the 1010-to-1022-thousand-barrel range. Weekly ethanol output was 2.3 percent above last week and 35 percent over levels seen at this time last year. DDGS output climbed to 2,187 metric tons per day from last week and was 25,584 MT’s per day over production from a year ago. DDGS output reached a 63-week high.

Gasoline supply decreased 3.5 percent but was 21 percent over 2020 levels for the same period. Ethanol stocks grew 3.2 percent to 19.59 million…
