Limited offerings were noted for most of the porcine meat and bonemeal (MBM) and bloodmeal markets (BM) as well as the feathermeal (FM) markets. Porcine BM traded as high as 1125 was noted for Indiana FOB. Participants continue to report of trucking line delays as well as diminished truck availabilty, leading to wider FOB ranges, heightened shipping costs, and increased volatility. Exports also continue to be noted as strong for most ruminant and porcine items, creating diminished domestic availabilty.
Since the start of the year, porcine MBM has increased by 43 percent to the to the average price of $452.50/ST, Missouri River FOB. Labor constraints have continued to be a continuous struggle for most production and processing plants for 2021.
