Distillers Corn Oil Output Curbed by Holiday Break

Ten cars of packer and ten cars of renderer BFT traded higher on a Chicago basis today. Technical tallow was higher as well in a one car trade. Strong interest for nearby material persists, but buyers are having a hard time finding offerings in the market.

Distillers corn oil (DCO) prices were higher again today with buyers finding it increasingly difficult to buyer spot material below 60 cents per pound FOB. The DCO market is following the strength in the soybean oil market and there is some inventory building that is ongoing ahead of the rapidly approaching capacity expansions in the US renewable diesel market.
