Prices Trend Higher in Animal Fats, DCO and UCO Markets

Trading was quiet to close out the week. For the week, prices averaged higher with the biggest gains coming from the yellow grease market. Trading out of the Missouri River was up 2.7 percent from last week. The packer BFT market was quiet this week for spot trades, but strong interest was noted through the week. There were limited offerings at higher prices, but buyers were unwilling to cross the bid/offer spread. Soybean oil prices were lower, down 0.5 percent on average from last week.
