Meat and bone meal traded higher into Indonesia, topping out at $550 CIF. Tight supplies in New Zealand helped to boost prices and a similar market dynamic is playing out for Taiwan, Malaysia, and Vietnam. Australian cattle slaughter continues to trend at multi-year lows with the MLA estimating last week’s harvest at 93,480 head. The tight production has limited changes in the Australian domestic market for bovine MBM as well, but next week will bring August tenders to light and there is risk for higher prices.
