A steady call was noted for most items today with exception to ruminant meat and bonemeal wihich saw widesread declines. A low of $255/ST Mo. River was reported today, however, the majority of trade fell within the $270-360/ST range.
Unsettledness was reported for most regions for meat and bone meal and feathermeal as trucking and freight hurdles on both the domestic and export fronts linger. The decline in soybean meal paired with plant closures in the NOLA region has also created uncertainty in several markets.
A drop in porcine bloodmeal (BM) has been noted this week for most regions with the Missouri River seeing a new range of $1050-1200/ST. The average for the start of September is currently at $1177.50/ST. Though this is a slight decline of around 2.6 percent from August, this continues to remain over 100 percent above the previous year’s pricing for September, which saw an average of $584.52/ST.
