High Demand For Inexpensive Paraguayan Hides

Slaughter continues slow, but stable.

The ban on beef exports has contributed to fewer cows slaughtered.

Good quality Buenos Aires wet salted steers are quoting downwards this week at about US$0.97 per kg.

Some pundits’ believe the downward trend will continue into next week and the demand for wet salted and semifinished hides are low. This is not expected to change in the near-term. 

The issue of the lack of space in ships and ports.
