Ethanol & DDGS Production – Ethanol production moves lower as stocks climb

According to the EIA’s Weekly Petroleum Status Report, ethanol production dropped 1.76% to 947,000 barrels per day (b/d), as stocks climbed 2.42% to 21.594 million barrels. The lower production narrowed the ethanol industry’s demand for corn to 14.1 million bushels per day from 14.36 m/b, a 253,000 bushel a day decrease from the prior weeks average.
