Australian prices, both domestic and export, are up this week. Sellers are seeing steady demand and exporters have pushed prices up US$5. Domestic prices are higher as well, with local buyers paying up in order to compete with the exporters in a market where the AUS$ continues to slip against the US$. Cattle kills continue at a very strong pace with 178,375 head processed this last week. Kills YTD are up 2% from 2014, but nearly 20% from 2013.
