DCO prices strengthen as output, ethanol production decline on week
Prices for US animal fats and oils held steady to higher on Wednesday January 29, with much of the day's trade concentrated in the distiller’s corn oil (DCO) markets.
The estimated crush margin moved lower again this week, making it the 8th consecutive week of lower processing margins and has dropped in 11 of the past 12 weeks. The cost of soybeans moved higher by 13 cents per bushel over the past week while the value received from oil and meal sales, per bushel of soybeans crushed, increased only 7 cents per bushel.
