2014/15 Soybean Crushing Activity

Crushing activity was increased by 15 million bushels to 1.845 billion bushels. Increased crushing activity pushed soybean oil production 150 million pounds higher.This trickled through the balance sheet resulting in 2014/15 ending stocks increasing by 125 million pounds.

The 2015/16 marketing year started with the 125-million-pound increase, adding an additional 230 million pounds of 2015/16 production. This  translated to 2015/16 ending stocks increasing by 280 million pounds. 2015/16 ending stocks are projected to blossom to 1.82 billion pounds.
