Biodiesel margins rise, but window of opportunity limited
Biodiesel margins continued to rise during the week to Friday November 22. The bean oil/heating oil (BOHO) spread boosted margins by falling to its lowest level since August 27.
Ruminant MBM moved lower out of the Panhandle and River markets today with trading reported as low as $265 FOB Panhandle and $280 FOB River. There was good volume sold throughout October at $320, FOB both markets. Porcine MBM traded in a wide range, $290 – 330 FOB Mo. River and $315 – 340 FOB Eastern IA/IL. The bulk of material, greater than 100 trucks, traded at $340.
