Market Activity

The market was quiet and appeared to be well sold to close out the week. There was some MBM trading done out of the Illinois renderer market, down $10 at $350. The porcine market saw steady action out of the Mo. River. Sources suggested that early week optimism is gone with heavy supplies of southeastern porcine MBM and heavy poultry meal supplies weighing on the market. MBM prices have fallen over the last three days, but protein prices still remain very favorable.
