Biodiesel margins rise, but window of opportunity limited
Biodiesel margins continued to rise during the week to Friday November 22. The bean oil/heating oil (BOHO) spread boosted margins by falling to its lowest level since August 27.
Outside of slightly lower soybean prices, there was not much to benefit the crush margin over the past week. The oil yield per bushel of soybeans crushed fell from 11.62 pounds to 11.59. The meal yield also dropped, falling from 47.29 pounds to 47.03.
