Biodiesel margins rise, but window of opportunity limited
Biodiesel margins continued to rise during the week to Friday November 22. The bean oil/heating oil (BOHO) spread boosted margins by falling to its lowest level since August 27.
Yellow grease trading was up a ¼ cent from the previous high out of the Illinois market today. Twenty trucks were reported at $0.1800 FOB. Trading out of California was reported steady FOB LA and SF, but those lower values translated into a lower San Joaquin Valley price of $0.1850 – 0.1900 delivered.
