Malaysian Palm Oil Exports Fall 10% in January

Palm oil prices initially began to move lower on a larger than expected decline in palm oil export activity for January.  According to cargo surveyor Intertek Testing, shipments of palm products out of Malaysia ended the month down by 10%, despite being up 4% mid-month. Demand for crude palm oil (CPO) was up as much as 5% mid-month, but by the end of January demand had dissipated and was down 24% month-over-month….
