Australian values are steady this week with sources reporting good demand from a number of markets. Cattle slaughter is up over the last couple of weeks, but still remains sharply lower than 2014 and 2015. Kills typically pick up ahead of the Easter holiday before dropping off and this is the pattern that is appearing now.
