Market Activity

It was a busy afternoon with a good amount of tallow trading reported.  Packer BFT traded down a ½ cent, $0.3300 Chicago in thirteen rail cars for May shipment. Tech tallow was reported at $0.3700 Chicago and edible traded at $0.3900. Sources remarked that some in the biodiesel sector are leaning on bean oil a bit more and this, combined with an increase in May production has pushed the market slightly lower.
