Palm oil futures are higher in early trading following a sharp move higher Wednesday. It appears that the surge came in the wake of a large purchase of palm olein a derivative of palm on Wednesday, which is now supporting prices as traders wait to see if there are follow up trades. Volume on Thursday was light as Indonesia closed for a public holiday.
