Trading in the tallow market was quiet this afternoon with no trading confirmed.

Choice white trading was lower out of the Mo. River market, $0.2300 – 0.2400. The USDA released actual monthly slaughter figures last week showing a record in both August and September production. The Jan – Sep numbers for 2016 are 370,000 head behind the record of 86,373,900 head during the Jan – Sep period in 2008.
