Weekly Export Sales

Soybean export sales for the 2016/17 marketing year totaled 2,008.4 thousand metric tons (TMT), up 37% from last week and 30% more than the prior 4-week average. New crop sales totaled 396.5 TMT, lifting combined season sales to 2,404.9 TMT, which placed total sales up 64% week over week. Export sales were exceeded analyst expectations that ranged from 1,000 to 2,400 TMT. 2016/17 export commitments are 81% of the USDA forecast with 38 weeks to go….
