Market Activity

Trading was limited to the Mo. River ruminant MBM market this afternoon in a range, $245 – 285. Sources have commented that the topside should be fading with early month specialty demand dropping off. Feed demand, i.e. poultry and blenders, have reported pricing in the $245 – 265 range.

Bean meal values were off again today, but of little consequence to the protein market. Ruminant MBM still remains well below parity on a protein basis.
