Trading out of the Australian market was quiet this week coming off of the ANZAC holiday. Sources commented that kills remain tight, both due to holiday slow/shutdowns and a steep reduction in stocks. YTD slaughter is off 8% compared to last year and down 25% compared to 2015. There was no firm news on domestic trades during the May tender period, but sources expect prices to drop by as much as AUS$100 next week.
