Soybean export sales for the 2016/17 marketing year fell 74% to 159.1 TMT and were 65% less than the prior 4-week average of 454.9 TMT. New crop sales totaled 221.8 TMT, up noticeably week over week and lifting combined season sales to 380.9 TMT. Combined crop year sales were down 39% from last week and below analyst expectations that ranged from 500 to 900 TMT. 2016/17 export commitments are 105% of the USDA forecast with 13 weeks to go.
