Biodiesel margins rise, but window of opportunity limited
Biodiesel margins continued to rise during the week to Friday November 22. The bean oil/heating oil (BOHO) spread boosted margins by falling to its lowest level since August 27.
The closing numbers
Crude oil prices closed 2% higher, or 93 cents per barrel, at $50.41. The move translated into a 3 cent per gallon jump in heating oil prices, but left RBOB values unchanged. HO closed at $1.81 per gallon, which helped to peel two cents off the BOHO spread. Heating oil prices are at their highest level since July 2nd, 2015….
