Ruminant MBM was reported sideways this afternoon. Porcine MBM was reported lower, dropping $10 from the previous high out of the Mo. River, Eastern IA/IL and Indiana markets.

Hog slaughter will be tight this week due to yesterday’s holiday, but kills are projected to run heavy over the next several weeks. Our forecast calls for an average increase of 3% relative to last year’s rate, over the four coming weeks. The strong kills should keep the market well…
