Market Activity

The protein market was quiet to start the week with no trading reported. Offers were out higher for porcine MBM, but no trading was done as of press time. Export demand appears to be picking up the heavy supply with kills just shy of 2.5 million head last week. Slaughter is anticipated to stay above the 2.4 million head mark through Feb and into March, with the exception of the week ending Feb 23.
