Market Activity

Trading was quiet in the protein market today. Bean meal values were up again today and have closed the week up $18 from Monday’s low. While all-veg diets may have limited the immediate impact of higher soybean meal prices in the domestic market a strong bean meal price will continue to support export demand.

Poultry blood meal prices were up this week as the gap between poultry and porcine and ruminant material has narrowed.
