Animal Fats – International

Tight supplies and short covering are pushing tallow prices higher out of the NZ market. Values are up NZ$15 for 4% ffa material. End user demand has been quiet this past week, but the favorable pasturing conditions could keep supplies tight and continue to push prices up over the next fortnight. Australian values moved higher this week as well and sellers have reported renewed interest from a number of buyers in the Asian markets.
