Soybean oil futures gained a little more than one percent on Thursday, pushing the nearby contract back above 32 cents per pound. Prices were supported by the liquidation of short oil share positions and minor gains in palm oil prices overnight. The gains in soybean oil prices lifted the nearby oil share back above 30 percent, but flat soybean meal futures and gains in soybean futures drove the nearby crush margin down 4 1/2 cents to $1.28 per bushel.
