Market Activity

Trading into the AL/GA and Eastern markets was lower for ruminant MBM today. Prices have come under pressure from the cheaper porcine material that is available in that region. Porcine trading was up out of the IN market, $290 – 320.

Blood meal demand has picked up quickly and prices were up for poultry blood today, $575 – 625. Demand from both the dairy sector as well as the blend sector has picked up.
