Market Activity

Packer tallow traded in very good volume today, 27 cars total with 16 falling within the 30 day window, at $0.2300 Chicago. Tech tallow was offered lower, $0.2900 Chicago with buyers not showing any interest as of press time. Aside from today’s big trade, rail business in the tallow market has been lackluster. Feed has been paying a two to three cent premium for tallow in trucks.
