A lack of demand from Singapore in the face of strong production has pushed Australian export prices lower. Values are off US$30 – 40 compared to last week. Slaughter in Australia was down compared to the week prior at just under 141,000 head in the Eastern States. Kills continue to run above 2017 levels, up 6% compared to the same week last year.
