Trading was very quiet to start the week with no action reported.
Cattle slaughter came in at an estimated 562,000 head last week, up 2.7% from the same week in 2017. Kills are forecast to increase steadily over the next six weeks as packers move the heavy number of animals in the feedlots through the slaughterhouses.
