Ruminant MBM traded lower out of the PNW today, down to a wide range of $175 – 235. Trading in the Midwestern markets was quiet. Ruminant blood meal did trade at $500 FOB Mo. River today and rumors of offers at sub-$500 levels were reported. It seems that the heavy kills and poor econs in the dairy sector are putting an additional round of pressure on the blood meal markets despite fundamentals that suggest prices should be at a bottom.
