Australian fat prices moved higher by AUS$20 for domestic sales and US$15 for export. Tire kicking and some potential activity for Singapore has moved the market higher. Australian slaughter rates continue to run high with the MLA reporting last week at 140.6 thousand head. Drought conditions in the East have abated, but the dry weather has tightened up grain and feed supplies enough to keep those prices elevated.
