Hog slaughter closed out last week at an estimated 2.57 million head, down 8/10^th of a percent from the week prior. Kills are forecast fairly steady for the next three weeks ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, averaging 2.56 million head per week, which is 3.6% above the same time period in 2017.
