Cattle slaughter finished last week at 620,000 head, the largest weekly February slaughter figure since 2011. From December 7, 2013 – Nov 19, 2016 there wasn’t a week where cattle slaughter hit 620,000 head. The large production will keep the market well supplied with material and could create some buying opportunities in the spot market.
