The protein market was very quiet to close out the week with no changes reported. Cattle slaughter did see lower number this week as mid-week snow slowed some production and kept slaughter below the 600,000 head mark for the second straight week. The slow down could tighten up the markets enough to give sellers some leverage to push prices higher.
