Organic Egg Prices Rise with Conventional Eggs as Demand Surges

 

Organic egg prices continue to rise in conjunction with soaring conventional egg prices as consumers stock up on staples in the wake of the virus outbreak. Wholesale egg prices have tripled since early March. Retail demand is very strong while food service demand is light to non-existent. Offerings are very limited and insufficient to meet the current level of need.
