Hog slaughter finished last week at an estimated 2.325 million head, down 2.5 percent from year ago levels and 3.4 percent from the week prior. The next six weeks are forecast at an average of 2.379 million head per week, down 10 percent from the prior six week average and up 1.6 percent compared to year ago levels.
