Over the past 8-weeks, the Jacobsen has conducted an annual planting intentions survey sent out to thousands of recipients. The survey focused on planting intension of organic corn or organic soybeans within the United States. The respondents were located across the US and state that returned surveys to The Jacobsen were mostly in New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and North Carolina on the east coast. Throughout the eastern and western mid-west. The plains states as well as California, Oregon Washington State, and Montana.

A summary of this survey provides key information that allows us to further refine our balance sheets as well as our price projections.

Our survey focused on organic corn and organic soybean acres harvested in 2019/2020 and compares that to the planned planting of organic corn and organic soybeans during the 2020/2021 season. We also focused on the yield per acre which we will breakdown per state in future Market intelligence…
