MBM Prices Falling Under Pressure from Soybean Meal, Increased Production

Ruminant MBM prices moved lower today as demand at the high end of the range has eroded. Mixed species MBM is trading at the lower end of the range and there is risk for wide spreads in the near term with pure beef material consistent in the $300 – 320 range. Porcine MBM fell as well today, cheaper soybean meal and increased supply has weighed on the market.
