The Jacobsen recently released the results of its 2020 Hemp planting survey. The Jacobsen reports that Organic hemp acreage makes up the bulk of hemp acreage. The Jacobsen’s current estimate for planted hemp acreage in 2020 is projected to be 157,082. Of this total, approximately 94,259 acres are dedicated to planting organic hemp. Organic hemp prices are nearly double conventional hemp prices, which makes organic hemp an attractive cover crop for an organic grain rotation.
