Soybean Crush Central Illinois – Margin unchanged heading into Memorial Day Weekend

The estimated crush margin held steady this week as reduced soybean cost was offset by lower soybean oil and meal income.  Revenue from soybean meal sales declined six dollars per ton, or two percent to $289.70, while soybean oil prices increased 3.3 percent to 25.59 cents per pound. The value received from oil and meal sales per bushel of soybeans crushed moved from $9.68 per bushel to $9.64 while soybean prices declined four cents to $8.39 per bushel. This left the margin unchanged at $1.25 per bushel. The crush margin is 41 percent below levels seen at this time last year.
