Organic Cracked Corn Imports Rise More than Expected

 

As the planting season moves into gear, organic corn farmers appear to have completed approximately 50% of their planting in the mid-west. Prices continue to hover around $7 per bushel in the mid-west and near $340/345 per short ton in South Central Pa.  Merchandisers are telling The Jacobsen that they see softer organic corn prices in PA. Organic corn prices in the mid-west for the Q4 are hovering near the $7.5/$7.60 regions with few contracts trading.

Organic Crack Corn Imports Rise

Organic cracked corn imports increased more than expected in May according to The Jacobsen insight. Organic cracked corn imports rose 18% month over month in May 2020, up approximately 4K tons, and approximately 3K tons more than The Jacobsen expected.
