Market Activity

BFT, both renderer and packer, were offered lower today. Chicago CWG was offered a penny lower as well. No trading or counters bids were reported as of press time. With the drop in BFT, the pricing spread between BFT and edible and technical tallow is now 17 cents per pound.

With hog slaughter now consistently well above the 400,000 head mark on a daily basis there is plenty of supply available to the market. Prices were mostly steady today out of the Missouri River…
