LCFS 2020 Credits Exceed Proposed Cap

Daily Charts

63,045 LCFS Transfers Exceed Proposed 2020 Cap

California regulation established the maximum price for LCFS credits acquired, purchased, or transferred in the Credit Clearance Market (CCM) at $200 in 2016, and it requires this price to be adjusted by a Consumer Price Index (CPI) deflator in all years subsequent to 2016.

A CCM has not been held for the purchase of additional credits since 2016. The maximum price for credits to be acquired, purchased, or transferred has not approached the price cap until 2020. The CCM Price cap is $217.97 for 2020.
