Yellow grease traded steady out of the Illinois market today in ten trucks. Packer bleachable fancy tallow (BFT) was offered out steady and unsold as of press time. Counter offers were reported a penny lower.

Holiday downtime is expected to contribute to a downturn in production this week, the cattle slaughter forecast is for 565,000 head. Cattle slaughter last week was a very strong 680,000 head, up 1.5 percent from last year and 3.7…
