Biodiesel output strong in Q2; producers start locking in Q3-Q4 sales
A second producer echoed this sentiment and said they have had to work a bit harder to secure feedstock to line it up with sales at the right time.

Fifteen cars of packer bleachable fancy tallow (BFT-P) traded steady this afternoon and an additional four cars traded down a penny from yesterday’s Chicago offering. Another fifteen cars of renderer bleachable fancy tallow (BFT-R) were reported traded on a formula basis. With over six million pounds traded this afternoon it’s seems likely that the market has hit a bottom.
Trading outside of the tallow market was fairly steady today. Choice white trucks continue to trade in a steady range, sellers needing to move material quickly are taking material in the 18 – 18.75 cents range, big volume sales…
